When I read a sample excerpt from this book, I was absolutely hooked. I'm a huge fan of Lynda La Plante and was excited to read the rest of the story. Unfortunately, it was one of my least favorites she has written so far.
In the beginning, the plot was convincing and well thought out. Everything seemed to be building up to some sort of grand conclusion. However, as the pages went on, it became harder to follow.
At some point, the whole thing just became totally unbelievable. I found myself counting down the pages until it would be over. I was so far in already, I felt like I couldn't "give up". The ending was extremely disappointing.
I gave it 3 stars because the beginning was amazing. Maybe others will like it more than me. Worth giving it a shot.
