As Dolly finishes up her prison sentence, she has dreams of opening up a foster home, to help women in trouble. But when she's welcomed by a mixed group of women, some she served with, others who have served time themselves. They suspect Dolly has been sitting on the diamonds, and they want a cut. Meanwhile, Shirley's brother Matt has plans for those diamonds. Send Dolly back to jail to appease his mother. But things don't go as planned, they never do in Dolly's world, and hilarity ensues. When you have so many characters at play, it's hard to trust anyone, especially when they are less than savory characters.

This book had a different feel than the first two. I know others have said it was fast-paced but I didn't get that vibe at all. There were times when I felt I was crawling through and it was a chore to keep turning pages. But I enjoy Dolly's cunning, that she's able to take any situation and flip it around to suit her goals. She unwittingly sabotages the plans of others and it makes for hilarious situations. We can't always get the ending we want, but it would have been nice if it wasn't such a letdown. Overall not a bad read, but definitely room for improvement.
