The plot seems like it'll be interesting once the story gets going. I wasn't wowed by any of it. The writing is fine, but didn't really grab me. The opening is mostly a setup for what's to come, with various characters making appearances in short scenes. Though there's nothing on the cover or in the description to clarify this, it reads like part of an ongoing series. So I checked and found this is book #3 in the Dolly Rawlins Series. I don't know that it'll will work well as a stand-alone, and I didn't care enough to go back and start at the beginning.
