The prologue to this book really drew me in to this book and started the plot off with a foreshadowing of what I assume is to come. However, I didn’t feel as interested after reading the first two chapters. I am a nurse, and find reading or watching medical dramas or things from a nurses perspective to not be realistic to me, so this may be part of the issue. I did not like the main characters statements on how a nurse feels, but this may be my personal bias. This book does seem to have an interesting premise, but perhaps isn’t for someone that works in the medical field as a nurse. The book does seem to somewhat accurately capture medical details, which is something I appreciate. I also felt that the first chapter could have been introduced the main characters identity in regards to her daughter, as opposed to focusing on her identity and a nurse and a divorced parent.
