As my first Mary Kubica book, "She's Not Sorry" did not disappoint! Admittedly, this story is a bit of a slow burn, but the payoff is well worth it. There are two major mysteries in this book, which leave the reader wondering if both events are connected. Mary Kubica writes electric characters like main character Meghan Michaels, who has so much depth to her. Kubica does an excellent job of peeling back the layers of her characters throughout the story until they bare it all. As a lover and frequent reader of suspense, thriller, and mystery genres, it's rare that I don't see a book's twist coming from a mile away, but this book truly stumped me up to each gasp-worthy twist. I will definitely be reading the Mary Kubica book that has been on my "TBR" list very soon.
