A woman, Caitlin, merely missed landing on the railroad tracks when she fell from a bridge near the highway. She’s lucky to be alive, but was it a suicide attempt or was she pushed? Now, she’s unrecognizable and lying in a coma under the care of Meghan who’s very interested in what happened to this poor woman.

Meghan is trying to balance a full time nursing career, co-parenting a teenage daughter with her ex-husband, and investigating the case that put her patient into the ICU. Her curiosity may put her life in danger, but she needs to know what kind of person Caitlin was and why she wanted to take her own life.

I thought I had the mystery all figured out, but the author hit us with the biggest twists that made my heart lurch and sent my jaw to the floor. This was a captivating thriller that had me on the edge of the couch gasping 🫢 and yelling “what!?” many times. My mind is still reeling with all the surprises that were revealed and I’m sure that this could be my most favorite book of the year!
