From the very beginning I thought it was going to be such a gripping story and a wild ride from start to finish but I quickly learned that it was slooooow. It took me a long time to feel interested in the book (200 pages it be exact) until I felt like it was getting interesting. Then there was a big twist I didn’t see coming, but then it felt very rushed to close that one thing and then another twist comes up (which I saw coming) and honestly, it just didn’t do anything for me. all the twists just seemed like too much for one story and just not really believable.

As for writing style, this is the first I’ve read from Mary Kubica and I’m not terribly impressed. Her writing style was decent but then she would use big words that to me, seemed unnecessary and like she was trying to get her story to sound interesting and it really just didn’t do anything for me. I probably coupons recommend this book to anyone because like I said, I just didn’t find it that impressive.
