She’s Not Sorry was my first Mary Kubica novel, and I’m not sorry I read it! While the beginning was a bit sluggish, with annoying and distracting repetitive descriptions, the second half of the book, with multiple plot twists, had me tearing through the pages. Skimming over paragraphs didn’t compromise the story, making it more of a quick, engaging read than one to savor.

From the get-go, I sensed something off about Nat, but the unfolding events still managed to catch me off guard. While the subplot twist didn’t deliver a shocking surprise, the way it played out was intriguing. Mary Kubica crafted a creative narrative that’s perfect for those who appreciate a slow-burn, twisty story. Overall, it’s a captivating read with unexpected turns that keeps you hooked till the end.

I’m looking forward to reading other Mary Kubica stories soon!
