In the book She's Not Sorry, an ICU nurse finds herself in an impossible position that potentially puts her daughter in danger. In addition, she becomes increasingly entangled in the life of one of her patients. She also grows concerned about a series of attacks that an unknown male is carrying out in the city.

This book was a very fast read, but I did not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed some of Kubica's other books. I thought it could be too "preachy" at times, especially when discussing why people might commit suicide or hospital policies. I also found the portrayal of Chicago to be unrealistic (as someone who lives in Chicago). I also thought that the twist in the book was not carried out as well as it could have been, and it seemed derivative of some of Kubica's other books as well as books by authors such as Alex Michaelides. Still, in the end all of the different elements of the book tied together in a more coherent way than I expected.
