Mary Kubica has an amazing ability to hook her audience immediately, and “She’s Not Sorry” is no exception. From the very first phone rings in the prologue, I was already desperate to know what happens to Sienna. The character development and hint of mystery (with Caitlin, the traumatic brain injury victim) keeps me hanging on and desperate for the book to come out.

Additionally, as someone who grew up in the Chicago suburbs, I always love Mary Kubica’s references to things I’m familiar with (Barrington, for example). It’s subtle, so readers not from Chicago aren’t bothered by it, but it’s always a sweet treat to see the Chicago “Easter eggs” in all of Mary Kubica’s books.
