First of all, I am a huge fan of the author. Secondly, the prologue is intense and grabs you immediately. I have a daughter also so of course worst fear is her being taken by a stranger so I can relate to the character in her panic and I will do what necessary to make sure my kid is safe. Then you have the first chapter where you meet Meghan and the story really begins. Even if I don’t win this one, I will buy it because I think Mary Kubica is an incredible storyteller.
