In this anticipated psychological thriller, Mary Kubica focuses on the intense drama that takes place in the ICU nurse reunites with her friend, a patient Nat whom she had attended school with. As the drama unfolds in the early chapters, it is clear that there is an elephant in the room and her patient is hiding something from the main character and the audience.

Kubica’s novels tend to be women-centric and use themes of psychology and suspense to explore real life narratives that we often find in true crime stories. The cover, too, draws the reader into the novel, and I love thrillers that tend to be centered on social issues which the author explores consistently. I would love the opportunity to read the novel!
