I’ve only read one Mary Kubica so far, and that was about 5 years ago, so I don’t remember my thoughts well, although I do recall perceiving it as suspenseful, but not terribly well written. I feel the same way about this one. I also don’t think it excites me too much because it isn’t an especially unique premise, but if I’m in need of a popcorn thriller, this would probably be sufficient.
