That prologue grabbed me by the throat and said, "Pay attention!" and I did! I love when the author throws you into the action right from the beginning. Introducing the characters can come later...hook me first!
When the plot shifts to the hospital, once again, the action is high. I have to know more about the woman who jumped. Why did she do it? And what important things can the reader expect to learn about her?
