This excerpt took me by surprise. I read the description of the book and the beginning wasn’t what I was expecting. I will say it just starts immediately, full force, no messing around. The main character gets a call from her daughter’s cell phone and it is a man saying he had kidnapped her daughter and she needs to do what he says if she wants her daughter to live.
While this will probably pull in plenty of people, it is not for me. I don’t even have kids and I’m still scared by the beginning of this book lol
