I always read Mary Kubica's books and 9/10 times I'm impressed. This one drew me in, playing on a mother's love and instinct and I think that is what she's done best so far in this first look. I am intrigued with the nursing perspective as well, and am so curious about the secrets this main character has to uncover in the following chapters. So far, though, with the min amount we are able to view, I would give this book 3.5-4 stars. I look forward to reading more of it! The cover art makes sense with everything so far in the book and the dark purple/ black color scheme is ominous, appropriately.
