Mary Kubica always writes engaging, suspenseful mysteries and She’s Not Sorry seems as though it is no exception. From the 21 page digital First Look, I already am engrossed in the story. Within a few pages the author has provided the reader with a great deal of interesting information: the main character is a mom of a teen daughter who we know from page one is in danger, she’s a nurse at a hospital where a young woman patient apparently jumped off of a bridge, and she is divorced by her own choosing. All of this information must connect, but it is too soon to know how. It is impressive to say so much in so few pages. My hope is that the story does not become too unrealistic or melodramatic because the book has an engaging premise.
