I have not read the author's first book, so I can't speak to her other works, but I think this would be a good start. I agree with what she's saying that most religion is indeed built on fear which leaves most of us missing out on a real relationship. I've experienced this exact issue before that has left me questioning the purpose of going to worship. I found her view refreshing and a different take on faith.
