Send Her Back is a collection of 16 fictional short stories about an immigrant woman in the United States and her struggle with living her life. Though it’s fiction, it reads like non-fiction and I found that to be intriguing.

I really enjoyed this book. I am not an immigrant, nor have I been to other countries, so this was a reach for me at first. After reading the first two chapters though, I was hooked. Kaseke has a way of writing that makes you connect with the story, even if you don’t have much in common. I really felt for the main character and her longing to leave her long term and pretty serious boyfriend, but struggle to after putting in so much time and effort with their relationship.
I loved how the first look available kind of ended on a cliff hanger. It made me want to read more!

My only negative comment on this book was that some of the stories felt a little too similar. I would have preferred to dive deeper into a story that have the author create another one similar.
