The first two essays in this book were absolutely wonderful! The writing is beautiful, and I certainly feel as though we don't hear stories like this enough. I 100% believe we need more books like this because people are so quick to discount stories from Black women, and this excerpt clearly shows that they have so much wisdom and perspective to offer.
