After reading the preview of the book, I found this collection of short stories to be both endearing and creative. The premise of this story collection is unique in that it focuses on the experiences of Black immigrant women in the United States, which is a perspective we do not really get to hear from. There are many complex issues facing women when they immigrate to the United States (including discrimination), so it was interesting to read about many of these issues across the different stories in this book. The cover of this book is also very nice as well!
