I know with many short stories a reader is supposed to take what’s there and draw one’s own conclusions. That works to a point. The author has given us a situation of uncertainty with both short stories presented here. We are left not knowing what will happen to either of the ladies whose brief slice of live we have shared. I tend to like longer stories better where I can get to know the characters and develop feelings for them.
