As uncomfortable as it makes me feel to read this as a white woman, I can't even imagine how awful it would be to actually experience what happens in these short stories. It's...disgusting. And this book needs to be written. It needs to be read. By people of all races. By people of all genders. We need to see the other side and sit with it.
