I find my perspective on the two stories provided sort of interesting. In the first story, I didn't know the immigration status of the protagonist, so I was able to just let myself experience the frustration of her relationship. But in the second story, I couldn't seem to stop myself from judging the protagonist for her decisions, which kept me from experiencing the story. This makes the book quite thought provoking, and something to explore!
