Wow such a great suspenseful book. The writing was incredible and kept me guessing until the very end.
I kept putting tabs in the book anytime something made me suspect one of the characters. One thing that I think made this book, so great, was that you didn’t know what really happened until the end. Each character that was there when Avril’s mom died gave a reason to suspect them. Whenever I would be sure that it was one of them, something else would pop up that changed my mind completely.
Avril’s trauma was so well written. She had so many holes in her memory and was finding out little bits about what really happened. And we were right there along side her.
It’s rare that a mystery book keeps me in suspense until the last page. But this book had me on the edge of my seat until the very last word. That ending was amazing to read. So much to unpack and so many questions answered.
