Ginny Myers Sain has become an instant buy author for me after I devoured and adored her last novel Dark and Shallow Lies. And I am happy to say that Secrets So Deep did not disappoint. Starting with the cover, it is perfect for this story, as is gives off some mysterious and eerie vibes.

The story follows Avril as she is accepted into the prestige Whisper Cove Theater camp. But unbeknownst to every one there, this is not Avril's first visit. In fact, her mother drowned there when Avril was a child and she is back for answers. Avril has got some baggage and seems to be suffering from hallucinations of her dead mother, but she has fire in her and it is thrilling to watch her decent into possible madness as she tries to solve the mystery. Of course a cute loner dude comes along to spice things up. I felt that Avril and Cole had the perfect amount of chemistry and their scenes together were my favorite of the book. The ghostly/supernatural aspect was perfectly done in my opinion, and really helped change the story from an average mystery to something much more! The prose are beautiful, but the setting, oh the setting is a force to be reckoned with. The way the author describes the fog with such vivid imagery, I felt like I could actually feel it around me while reading. Great read and I cannot wait to read what this author writes next.
