Painfully Predictable

I was very excited and thankful to receive this book, however, I was incredibly let down by the story and the dialogue.

I read many YA mysteries and suspense, so I am able to catch on to twists very early. However, it was incredibly apparent who the killer was very early on. There were too many "subtle" nods at who the killer would be and the killer seemed too nice. I was disappointed that the twist wasn't larger. It was also frustrating that our main character would find a killer, then find another one, and then another. It felt very chaotic.

I also felt as though the author was disconnected from teenagers, and tried to make herself relate by throwing in 'fuck' every sentence. It was overkill and seemed lazy.

All of the characters were unlikeable, and our main character was a lot to manage. She would consistently have hallucinations and pass out, and no one cared? It didn't make a lot of sense.

There were a lot of issues with this story that I think needed to be thought through before this was published.
