SECRETS SO DEEP was an intriguing YA thriller that will work best for readers who enjoy books about summer camp with a hint of a mystery/thriller. I've heard that Dark and Shallow Lies (by the same author) is a far superior book. So I will give that one a try too. The writing style was impressive. I could picture each scene and the way the fog rolls in, tricking your eyes and playing with your mind. I could not put it down. The plot of the book is so interesting. The fact that Avril can only remember bits or pieces from her mother's death adds to the mystery of the book. I am super excited about what this author has in store next!!!!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed the characters. Overall this was a good summer read and I do recommend checking it out. Fans of YA mysteries/ psychological thrillers should definitely check this out! There were so many plot twists!!!
