I enjoyed Secrets So Deep and I love the imagery that the author creates. I like the friendships in this book, as Avril the main character, has a close-knit group of friends that look out for her as best they can. I really like the paranormal idea of the ghosts/haunting and it added a cool element to the book, even if it didn't seem to be the main focus. It is also neat to follow along with Avril as she learns about her mother through everybody else.

I did guess the majority of the ending, but I liked that the book included a lot of foreshadowing throughout. And there still ended up being little twists that I hadn't expected. Avril leads you through multiple possible suspects but some of the theories seem flimsy.

I liked the romance with Cole, although it moved very fast. I liked the inclusion of his sea glass and he gave them to Avril as protection. Cole was willing to defend Avril from anything, no matter what it might mean for him.

Overall, I found the book very cute and the mystery was fun, even if it wasn't difficult to guess.
