I was really looking forward to this book since the excerpt was so good but I was disappointed after the first few chapters. The plot was just not as intriguing as I expected. The dialogue began to drag after a while and I found myself putting the book down for longer periods of time. I did finish it but did not actually enjoy it as much as I expected I would from the first impression I got. Certainly the character development could have been better and the plot not seem as stereotyped and usual. I did like the descriptions though and it had its moments where it was fairly good. Perhaps I just expected so much more considering the other books I have read. All in all it was a decent read but not one I would rush out to buy.
