Saving Paradise is the first book in the Pono Hawkins series. This can be read as a standalone. There is violence and sex so 18+. From the description, I thought I would like this book more than I did. It was okay. But between the policital/corporation corruption talk, the environment, and Pono's sexual addiction, I felt that the author lost the main storyline and I just couldn't relate to the characters or the storyline. Now the descriptions of the island and its features were fascinating and it made me want to take a trip to Hawaii just to see those. But after reading this book, I don't think I'll read any more of this series. I've read other books by this author and have like them much better than this one.
