I love mysteries of nearly any sort, and having one be set in Hawaii just moves it to the top of my want to read list. Politics is something else that is always intriguing, so adding that to the mix ups the interest level even more!
I read some of the first look, and was impressed that the author is of Hawaiian heritage, which I'm sure will give the story authenticity. I loved that some of the intro is in Hawaiian, too.
