Violence and Torture in the Hard Times
I read enough of the First Impression to know that it would not be rewarding to learn more about a young woman being nearly tortured to death by a stepmother's nephew.
Not sure why there are fans for this kind of exposure and hope that this author, with
considerable skill for depicting feelings, moves onto less horror.
