I don’t typically like literary fiction, and I don’t quite know what to make of the synopsis, but I like the author’s writing style. Especially, this line at the beginning:
“Omar: my lover, my torturer, my confidant and enemy.”
It’s raw, and it appears right at the start. I like that.
The cover is nice but doesn’t really give me any clue what to expect.
