I am not quite sure how I feel about this novel. One the one hand, the story is incredibly compelling and I am very invested in the main character already. On the other hand, I found it difficult to keep a grasp on the flow of the story. While I do think the writing is very beautiful, the way the narrative went back and forth, all over the past was incredibly confusing. I felt like I was supposed to pick up a lot more than I was.
