I am very interested to read about exactly what the relationship between Omar and our main character was like, seeing as his predation was such an influential part of her life. I also want to see the relationship between her and Ellie (lovers, friends, soulmates?? who knows), and how they think and act during the MC's trip back home. The book has the problem a lot of books do though, which is how it dumps all of the main character's thoughts and opinions (about the thing with Omar, politics, her parental relationships, and more) in a manner that feels choppy and in-your-face. I would like to see the author show, not tell.
