I don't know how I feel about this one. This isn't the type of book I normally go for, but I think it sounds intriguing enough. I love that it includes diversity and a POC main character. From the premise and little sneak peek provided, it really gives me Where the Crawdads Sing vibes. I'm not really into dark literary fiction though so I'm unsure if I'll be reading this one.
