First off, the cover is beautiful, and it really attracts the reader. When I read the description, I thought that this would be a sad tale of grief and loss. When I started reading the first chapter, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful writing style of the author. I was transported into a different country and into a different time. I have a feeling that this book will become a bestseller when it comes out. It's equal parts exotic and familiar, and will appeal to many readers. I can't wait to finish reading the book to see how the main character's relationship with Omar develops and breaks down. This is definitely going on my to be read list.
