I absolutely loved this first impression. I am reminded of the writing style of Gabriel García Márquez, in the confessional and lyrical style (not necessarily magical realism). I really liked the mix of international perspectives, along with the coming of age narrative. If I don’t win a copy, I will likely purchase one myself! Also- I don’t think the tone of the book cover matches the story? Maybe once I read it it will make more sense, but for the time being I feel that it invokes more of a story about nature, or science-fiction, then a story about relationships.
