This book has an amazing cover, good blurb on the back, and a lot of hype/good reviews out there in the book community and social media. However, this book was without a doubt not for me. The writing style was one that does not sit well with me. It comes off as very entitled and stuck up. The author is also extremely wordy and descriptive when it comes to describing things. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but for instance when describing what one building looks like on the island I do not need to have 3 sentences to describe the color of the building. Thanks for the chance to read this but this one was a pass for me. ARC was provided by Celadon books in exchange for an honest review.
