This is about a college freshman who goes missing while the family is on vacation at an island resort. The obvious suspects are detained and released, and eventually the case turns into an unresolved tragedy

Claire, the deceased's younger sister, finds herself in NYC as an adult and becomes unhealthily obsessed with the case and a man who may have been involved. Will she get her closure? Will any of them?

The book is so much more than a mystery, it is about life after a tragedy. Family doing whatever it can to revert to normalcy. It is about the changing face of home and going back to those clear and mystical waters. Or not going home, whatever your life demands.

I loved the distinct and borderline distant writing style; this really fits in with Celadon's thoughtful and picky fiction lineup!

Would totally recommend for fans of family dynamics, mysteries, and literary fiction. Thank you again for the chance to read it early!
