This book had so much potential - it was one of my most anticipated "thrillers" of 2020. I tried two different versions - I tried the audio and I also tried reading the print version of the book. It is VERY descriptive, which I don't always mind... the first half was pretty good, although sort of slow. I kept trudging along, hoping it would pick up. The second half "after", was even slower - I felt as though nothing was happening and I wasn't sure really where the story was going. I gave this one several attempts before I decided to put it aside for something else. It's not a "thriller" - it's more of a look at how a tragic accident affects the people closest to it and the aftermath of the tragedy.
