This was a book I was super excited to read. I made it one of my most anticipated reads for the upcoming year. I did not end up liking it like I thought I would. I found the writing style made it difficult for.me to dive in and then the characters were very hard to like and relate to so I found I didn't connect with them. The middle of the book was slow paced and I had a hard time continuing to read. I kept waiting for something more to happen but it never did.
My favorite parts of the book were the random mini chapters that showed how other people on the periphery of what happened to Allison were affected. I thought those chapters were interesting and I appreciated their inclusion.
Overall I don't think it was a bad read it just lacked the action and mystery I need to connect me to the story and in the end this story wasn't for me.
