When I first saw the title and cover of this book (way before it was released), I knew that I needed to bring it with me on my spring break trip. Thankfully, it became available at the library the week before I left! It starts with a family on a beach trip at an exclusive island resort. Things are going well and then the oldest daughter disappears! Told mostly from the perspective of the younger sister years later, Saint X focuses more on family dynamics and the loss of a sibling than the mystery itself. This part was disappointing to me - I wanted a juicy kidnapping/disappearance type story. A unique twist in the story is that the younger sister ends up meeting her sister's *accused* kidnapper in NYC. Overall an OK story but not what I was expecting.
