Saint X is the story about Claire who is seven years old when her older sister, Alison disappears during her family vacation on Saint X. This opening is basically where the sample chapters leave you.
I have to say there wasn’t anything particularly special about this book that stood out to me. The writing was fine but not gripping. The characters seemed very bland and had nothing that stood out about them, including Claire or Alison. The pace of the novel felt rushed as it sped through the entire vacation right up to when Alison disappeared without anything specifically important or original going on. All in all, it was underwhelming.
