Action is the most important thing if you're not adding to the character by way of story in the beginning. If I don't care about this book, I'll just pick up another.
This book, though it's a slow start, it is a start. There's a missing person, some simmering tension with the police for some, and some quirky jokes and anecdotes.
Hopefully the scenes will move faster, but this story's beginning has been moving faster than the others on here so far.
