Reading this first impression, I was completely drawn into the sights, sounds, and aromas, of tropical paradise Indigo Bay. I was also able to develop some sense of the main characters of this debut novel: sisters Alison and Claire, and their parents. I like the understated way the author hinted at the 'status' of Alison and the foreshadowing of the storyline with the brief segment from Officer Roy's perspective. I'm very intrigued to read the rest of the story.
