Alison and Claire are at a Caribbean resort with their parents, for their annual winter vacation. Claire is a seven year old who idolizes her older sister, a beautiful college freshman. The preview focuses on developing the atmosphere of the resort, and sometimes the thread of the narrative was lost in the process. The writing style was memorable and elegant, but I don't think it's something I would enjoy for the entirety of a novel. I do think there's a big audience for this novel, I'm just not part of it.
