The sample covered the events leading up to Alison's disappearance and the events right afterward. The narration style was a little strange. First person present omniscient or something. It felt detached from what was happening, cool and clinical so I didn't warm up to the characters yet. The next part seemed to be in first person, so maybe I'd be able to connect with the characters better.
