I do not like the impersonal description of the island and the zooming in as the beginning. Feels both pretentious and gimmicky.
Then dives right in to calling to working locals as "the fat one" and "the thin one" while introducing all sorts of people no one cares about.
Trying to elevate the story of a hot white teenage girl being murdered on vacation and failing, IMHO. Not a fan of the writing. Didn't even finish skimming the preview.
